The USA education system has the highest international acceptability and reputation. With nearly 50% of the world's top 100 universities, students receive world-class education with cutting-edge research opportunities, diverse academic programs, and access to the latest technology. The flexible curriculum allows students to explore multiple subjects and customize their learning path.
What are the work opportunities while studying?
International students in the U.S. are allowed to work under USCIS rules, mainly on campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic term, and up to 40 hours per week during university holidays; they usually earn around $10–$12 per hour depending on the state and job role, and they must get approval from their university’s international office before starting any work.
What is OPT (Optional Practical Training)?
OPT is a work authorization that lets international students work anywhere in the USA in roles related to their field of study; the Standard OPT is valid for 12 months after graduation, while STEM students can get an additional 24-month extension, giving them up to 36 months of work experience, which helps them gain valuable U.S. professional exposure and may also support a future pathway toward an H1-B visa.
What is the application process for US universities?
The U.S. university application process is detailed and usually requires standardized tests such as SAT or ACT for undergraduates and GRE or GMAT for graduate programs, along with English proficiency exams like TOEFL or IELTS; students must provide transcripts, certificates, Letters of Recommendation, a Statement of Purpose or personal essays, a resume or CV, and financial documents, and should note that application deadlines differ by university, generally 6–12 months before the intake.
